Aka Carl´s quest to be part of the electronic music industry started in 2002 when he began to play a blend of Techno, Trance & Hard Dance. A few years later and he found that his passion was within Techno music!
Carl wanted to further develop his skills within music production to become a DJ / Producer, and did this by attending a CPD in the music industry at Paul McCartney´s Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA). He completed the course in 2005; this enabled him to study for a degree in Sound Engineering and Design at Manchester´s School of Sound and Recording (SSR).
Whilst building his network & skill set at SSR, Carl successfully established his artist brand name Aka Carl & his label SUB CULT in the techno scene. His DJ sets have been the talk of the town, first of all winning one of 15 places out of 650 submissions to play a Set at Dance Island in 2008 and winning runner up in International DJ Magazines DJ competition gaining recognition from Jon O´Bir. "Jon: A proper pumping techno set here. Proper pumping! Reminds me of Fergie back in his banging days!"
More recently Aka Carl has had the opportunity to play in and around Europe alongside some of the artists that influenced him at the beginning of his quest Ben Sims, Jeff Mills, Paul Mac, Veztax, A.Paul, Dave The Drummer, Pedro Delgardo, Mark EG, Rydel ect
Aka Carl´s productions are high quality and have seen his tracks reaching numerous no 1 places on top respected stores; tracks have been featured on labels SUB CULT, Work Hard Play Hard, Patterns, Techment, Kazoo, Gobsmacked, Startraxx, Keep On Techno and NTR.
Carl now hosts his own monthly radio show SUB CULT Sessions on Digitally Imported´s Techno Channel, you can check out the show every second Friday of the month straight after the Carl Cox Global show!

Experienced DJ, untiring promoter, starting music producer and tenacious student. So all these positions are connected with this 23-year-old ambitious boy from Czech Republic. He played countless sets at smaller and bigger events and gained many positive feedbacks on the scene of electronic music during last 5 years. At first he went towards progressive, trance, tech-trance, however last time he has stayed at sound balancing beetwen techno and tech-house as a basis which complements creative ideas and gradually builds his distinctive style. Within his activities he is trying to be original but there are still several artists who stay such inspiration for him. Namely for example: Joris Voorn, Umek, David Amo, Da Fresh, Eric Prydz, Uto Karem, Alex Di Stefano or The Advent & Industrialyzer.

DJ Splif always wanted to try out everything about music. So, when the opportunity came, he started playing some instruments and after being infected with electronic music exchanged them for turntables and later on for midi controllers and music software. He is interested in big variety of music, from hiphop, ragga, dubstep, breakbeat, but he finds himself most comfortable in techno and tech-house boots.
He released on labels such as : Neptuun City, Vezotonik, GrooveWorxx, NWORec., Work Hard Play Hard, Tektonek Recordings, Privatti Rec., TechArt rec., Propeller, and more to come.
He is now a well established performer and music producer entertaining party people of the world with his unique dj techniques and scratching style at live performances and quality music productions. His production is being recognized by well established artists like PHNTM, Pedro Delgardo and Veztax and is played at their radio shows or is released by their labels. Parties he is organizing keep the techno scene in Slovenia rocking and developing and his mixing skills are making him one of the most promising artists in the future of electronic music.
So beware of this guy - he´s not kidding and hes not planning to stop anytime soon!
